This is a scene where a blimp attacks the Vatican. It can't be described any better. Well, it's good guys bucking the system, not terrorists or anything...I need to merge these to panels into a single frame; Vatican, defenses, blimps, repellers, and general chaos.
More key frames! Here's a scene from the graphic novel that I need to consolidate into a single frame, focusing on the one character being attacked, and some zombies. If you want to read the whole thing, go here: http://templaronline.blogspot.com/
Here's the colors going for this piece. All digital, and somewhere in the middle of at all, the lines and the colors got merged. That took away quite a few options, for color balancing and redoing shading, especially in the faces...so I kind of gave up on it. I dug it up again to see if I can salvage it with the pencils.
Some parts were coming out very well, but I still get bored with the all-digital art, I like to see at least a little hand done artistry in every piece. We'll see what I can do with it...
Here's kinda line version of an image I was working on last year. It's old, I made a big mistake on it and gave up on it. I'll post that version tomorrow.
This is an image from a few what if? Star Wars comic stories I've written as exercises, there's a 12 page Boba Fett story that I will start soon, it's pretty fun, so I'll put some artwork together for it. The other two probably won't get past the concept stage. A story about in between movie ages Obi-Wan intervening a young girl revenge killing Tuskans, and an alternate universe story about Anakin and Padme raising the twins, until they inevitably join the rebellion with their mother's secret blessing. And that's what this illustration is for...
I've been pretty busy with 'work' work, and getting ready for an upcoming series of gigs, but there is un-shown stuff I can post. Here's some sketches I did at the Big Cat Refuge, up near Palmdale, CA last week. It was so dang windy, my hands were pretty much freezing the whole time, but I got some decent drawings done. And a lot of not so good ones.
