Original Artwork Gallery Update!

My Facebook Gallery page has been updated with about 20 new pieces for sale.  Including this one:

Prima.  This so far is my only original artwork of Prima available, done personally for sketchbook Vol. III, though it appears cropped in print.  This is the full piece, 11"x17", done with marker, inks, and acrylic, for only $150, +S&H.

Check it out, there are other new pieces not revealed on the Bad Flip Blog!

Eat Your Art Out VI

And I missed it this year, I was up at Emerald City Comic Con during the show, I hope it went really well for all involved!

The theme this year was Creature Feature at the Drive-In.

This is the full frame image at 12x18", but was framed at 11x17" to be hung.  Derby Girl dressed up as Julie Abams, being chased by my old pal, the Creature from the Black Lagoon, with speakers and popcorn being thrown in disarray.  One cool thing about this, is that I used a silver paint wash over the whole thing, and in the screen and speakers.  So, twisting it in the right light, it glitters with the paint fleck.

Monsters!

Look OUT!

The last of the con sketches...and this one was actually set up before I left, I brought the light pencils with me to render out, with black and white prismacolor pencils, and white acrylic paint.  I also used some copic markers here and there for blending the values.

Another 'epic' piece, inspired from the delicious Universal Monsters box set that I got for Christmas this year.

Cap Con Sketch

Another sketch, this one from the Emerald City Con.  I have been drawing almost only Transformers since Thanksgiving, but I have a project starting this week that is...well...humans.  So I wanted to get ready with a little refresher render.

Back in Black (& White)

I had a great time traveling, doing the Portland and Seattle cons, meeting new and old friends, doing some adventuring along the way.  Sitting in the cockpit of the Spruce Goose was probably my biggest non-con highlight!

So this week, I'll be posting some arts I did in the quiet times of the show.  First up, the old stand-by, Optimus Prime.
