Now, I'm not sure if this is the actual title of the tour, I haven't got the copy yet to work from. But I do know they are going from the Bay Area down the coast, through Anaheim and on to San Diego.

And this is the sketch for the last T-shirt for their big summer tours...

Final!

Came out pretty well...I readjusted the background to fit the perspective a bit better. I'm happy with it, but I lost some of the technical aspects I was trying to show, mainly a showroom atmosphere, and I wanted more show lights reflected on Jazz...but it didn't really come out, or go with the background, even if it did.

A strong piece, nontheless...

Jazz with background! So...I made it a little more industrial than I meant, originally I wanted a showroom atmosphere, but it was a little boring from the angle established by the Jazz figure. So I amped up the concrete walls, with some metal plate and caution stripes.

And when in doubt, throw in a little diamond plate!

Ok, finally got Starscream built out...still need some additional detailing, along with some more work on his 'Null Rays' arm blasters. Then on to color and final pass, done tomorrow!

I decided to scrap those other clouds, and made some from a net photo, a photo I took yesterday, and some additional brush work in photoshop, along with the coloring...

Thundercracker and Skywarp get faded and blurred towards the back, because they aren't the focus, and half of the back-ends will be covered by Starscream anyways...

Call to Vote - Jazz Head

Jazz is the next and final TF for me to do, and I am still taking votes for which head to use. Currently, a whopping one person has voted...for #1. I like #2, so it's kinda tied 1-1.

Someone at least give me a tiebreaker, I'll be starting him soon!

Now back to Starscream...here's the background elements of Thundercracker and Skywarp, in F-15 mode. Not to convinced with the clouds...I should have taken pics the other day before the thunderstorm...oh well. It's a minor thing at this point though.

Now on to the main man, Starscream. After he's in there, I can start pushing and pulling the lighting for the background to make the jets pop a little more.

Final! I like this one a lot, I really pushed myself with the lighting and the background, I'm pretty pleased with how it came out.

All right, had to shelve the Transformers stuff for just a bit, and get back to Theme Park Review.com's second 2009 tour design.

They're hitting parks in Texas, Georgia, and Tennessee. And we were stumped on what to put on this shirt. So...a big star became the Texas rep, and peaches for Georgia. In Tennessee, Dollywood is the main destination, so we decided a guitar would rep for Tenn.

I struggled with these elements for a few weeks (in my head) and then finally got started sketching. I wanted to have a more literal design for this one, but the elements would not behave for me, so I went back to an old standard, and turned the Peaches into characters.

After I found the sketch, the client requested a ring around the star, to make it more Texas, and then I was ready to move on to the line art...

Prime-time! Here's the block-in beginnings for Optimus...eagle-eyed readers will spot that I changed the legs around. While I was sketching the layout, I was never happy with the legs. He looked like he was almost cowering, now I hope this portrays him striding through the battlefield a little bit better....

Final! I really like how this one turned out. My first car, and my wife's first car, were 71 VW Bugs, both inherited from our moms, rust included. Mine was orange, hers was yellow.
